    Settings

Cell values, text, numbers and dates convert. Cell colours, conditional formatting, charts and pivot tables are not carried over on the pure-PHP path — the aim there is a clean, legible printout of the data.

How to convert excel to pdf

    1. Drop your workbook

Accepts .xlsx, .xls, .ods and .csv.

    2. Choose the layout

Landscape suits wide sheets; leave shrink-to-fit on for very wide ones.

    3. Convert

Each worksheet is laid out as a table and paginated.

    4. Download

One PDF per workbook, or everything in a ZIP.

    Questions

My sheet is very wide — will it be cut off?

Not if you leave "Shrink wide sheets to fit the page width" ticked; it scales the table down until every column fits. Landscape orientation also buys a lot of room.

    Do formulas get converted?

The calculated result is printed, which is almost always what you want on paper. Tick "Show formulas instead of results" if you are auditing the workbook.

    Is CSV supported?

Yes. A CSV is treated as a single-sheet workbook and the file name becomes the sheet heading.

    What about very large workbooks?

Tens of thousands of rows will convert, but the PDF gets long and the conversion gets slow. Filter the data down first if you only need part of it.
